Certified Nurse Assistant offers you the chance to know how to bath, feed, dress patients, observe any physical and/or mental change.
Enroll for this course and you stand the chance to work in any healthcare facility with doctors and technologists.
As a Phlebotomy Technician you can work in a variety of settings including outpatient laboratories and hospitals.
As a Patient Care Technician, you can work in a variety of settings including hospitals, doctor's offices and emergencies care centers.
Serenity Health Training Institute offers a 2 week CNA program in the mornings and afternoons. The training you receive includes, but is not limited to, bathing, feeding, dressing patients, observing physical and/or mental changes and vitals. There is a total combination of 22 skills that are taught by lecture, hands on training, and videos. Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to take the nurse aide exam to become certified by the State of Michigan. The CNA program is also offered on the weekends to provide a more flexible schedule to working students.
This program is designed to teach students hands-on care to residents of a long-term care facility as well as private residence. The student is trained in how to meet the needs of the resident's physical and psychosocial needs, and to provide a safe environment for the resident while fulfilling responsibilities to the employer. It further prepares the student to pass the state certification test for Nurse Assistant.
The mission of the program is to develop skillful, critical thinking and caring Nurse assistants who will function within the roles and responsibilities as required by the State of Michigan. Serenity Health Training Institute’s Nurse Assistant program is designed to prepare qualified individuals to become safe and effective Nurse Assistants. Graduates of the program are prepared to take the program competency evaluation, which is the required test for state certification.
Whether desiring to meet state licensure requirements and practice as a Nurse assistant, or continuing on with more advanced Nurse education, Serenity Health Training Institute prepares students through classroom instruction, assisted tutoring, hands-on lab practice, and clinical experience. Upon successful completion of the program and passing the state certification exam, graduates earn the formal designation of CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant).
Serenity Health Training Institute’s Nurse Assistant training program is designed as a pre-Nursing course and prepares the student for entry level positions on the Nursing career path. Instruction is presented in the basic sciences as it relates to the human body and health.
Coordination of theory and skill proficiency is utilized during the student's clinical experience while caring for a variety of patients. Graduates of the Nurse Assistant training course qualify to take the Michigan Board of Nursing test for Certified Nurse Assistants.

Duration/Schedule of classes: 1. Day Classes (2 weeks) Monday through Wednesday, 8:00a.m. – 5:45 pm. (Second Week Clinical- Wednesday/Thursday 6:45 a.m. – 3:45 pm. Site to be determined). 2. Please note that a favorable state-wide background investigation report from the MI State Police Department and a national sex offender registry check is required. As per policy: School must determine that the nurse aide trainee has not been convicted or found guilty by a court of law of: a. abusing, neglecting or mistreating the elderly or infirm; or b. misappropriating a resident's property; or 2. has not had a finding of abuse, neglect, mistreatment or misappropriation of a resident's property placed on the Nurse Aide Registry or the Direct Service Worker Registry.
The Certified Nurse Assistant Program is approved by the Michigan Bureau of Community and Health Systems. The program is 40 hours of classroom instruction, 20 hours of skills lab and 16 hours of clinical training in a long term facility caring for actual residents. In an effort to standardize the certification and reciprocity processes of the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry, the Michigan Bureau of Community and Health Systems has regulatory oversight of the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry and has partnered with Prometric to deliver Nurse Aide Competency Evaluations (examinations). Serenity Health Training Institute is not an in-facility testing site. Upon completion of classroom and clinical hours, students are required to contact Prometric for testing. Following completion of Nurse Assistant Training and certification, the individual will be eligible to apply for employment in long-term care facilities, acute care settings, clinics, and home health agencies.
Telemetry Tech or EKG technicians work in healthcare facilities with doctors and technologists and specialize in electrocardiogram (EKG) testing for patients. EKG machines are complex devices that monitors the heart's performance. This is done by attaching wires and electrodes to a patient's chest, arms and legs.
Telemetry Techs also reads and interprets lethal cardiac rhythms. Telemetry Technicians are growing in great demand and play a key role in dealing with patients with cardiac issues. Telemetry Tech program is 8 weeks long, after students successfully complete the course they are eligible to schedule and sit for the national exam on site. Study material included in tuition.

Phlebotomists are trained to draw blood from a patient (mostly from veins) for clinical or medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research.
Students are taught to collect blood primarily by performing venipunctures or for collection of minute quantities of blood, finger sticks. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you can work in a variety of settings including outpatient laboratories, hospitals, physician’s offices and blood banks. Serenity Health Training Institute offers a 7 weeks phlebotomy class with books and study material included.
Our students are offered clinical internship opportunities at St. John/Genesys Hospital which provides them the with the necessary skills to secure a job in the hospitals working as Phlebotomists. Upon successful completion of course students can schedule and take national phlebotomy exam on site with study materials included in tuition.

Our PCT program is a combination which offers training in both the Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy and EKG to allow the student a more diverse exposure and the option to choose a career path that would be most beneficial to easily attain their career goals.
Serenity Health Training Institute’s Combination training program is designed as a pre-Nurse course and prepares the student for an entry- level position on the Nurse career ladder. Instruction is presented in the basic sciences as it relates to the human body and health. The combination of theory and skill development is utilized during the student's training experience with emphasis on caring for a wider variety of patients. Under the supervision of highly trained instructors, the student will receive adequate training that emulates the environment and functionality that a PCT would encounter in a typical daily activity. These practices complement classroom instruction as well as the internship experience. As per state requirements, the clinical portion of the class is conducted under the supervision of a highly trained instructor.
This program prepares a student to acquire skills as a Patient Care Technician. Patient Care Technicians assist and support patients to attain maximum functional independence as well as assisting clients with their personal care and daily living tasks. Nurse Assistants work closely with residents in hospitals, long-term care facilities and adult day care centers. This combination-training program helps an individual serve in versatile fields of the Medical profession, hence providing wider employment opportunities.
There is an increasing need for cross- trained health care workers in all types of health care facilities. This Program builds upon the basic nurse aid skills to develop a person with advanced skills. This program covers Medical Terminology/Abbreviations, Phlebotomy, EKG, CPR, Wound Care, Glucose Monitoring, Hemocult Testing, Vital Signs and Isolation Techniques, Activities of Daily Living and Urinalysis. This is the latest trend in health care reengineering. Patient Care Technicians can be employed in hospitals, long-term care facilities, physicians’ offices, sports medicine facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, rehabilitation facilities, clinics, physical therapy departments, industrial clinics, medical laboratories and walk-in treatment centers.

The purpose of the Serenity Health Dementia Training for the professional is to teach the professional health care worker the skills needed to respond appropriately to those individuals who have a diagnosis of mental impairment that affects their ability to function without professional intervention.
Health care workers including nurses, Nurse assistants, physicians, physician assistants, emergency medical technicians, medical assistance, or any others who may work with Dementia or other disease processes that may cause inability of the person to make decisions about themselves. Total Clock Hours: 40 Hours Monday – Friday 0800-1600
The Dementia Training Course is designed for the professional to be taught in approximately 40hours. The course length includes class activities, viewing of videos, and breaks per instructor’s plan.
